Program Description: In today’s world, natural disasters are increasing in frequency and type.  During a disaster, employees rely on support from their employer, and employers have certain legal responsibilities to employees.  Plus, HR professionals are often relied upon to ensure continuity of operations during the disaster and in the aftermath.  Join Kyle Abraham as he explains employers’ legal obligations and best practices to keep employees supported and operations going when we face the next disaster.   This interactive session will provide attendees practical guidance.   

Bio: Kyle Abraham represents employers in traditional labor and employment law matters. Kyle’s labor practice includes negotiating collective bargaining agreements, advising on contract administration issues, and representing employers before labor arbitrators, and the National Labor Relations Board. In his employment law practice, he has successfully represented clients before U.S. circuit and district courts, state courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other state and federal agencies.  Kyle is an experienced workplace investigator, and he regularly conducts investigations into allegations of employee misconduct, harassment, or other sensitive issues. Kyle has been recognized as an expert witness in the field of workplace investigations.
