About Us
The Lower Columbia Human Resource Management Association (LCHRMA) is an affiliate chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). We are comprised of HR professionals located throughout the Lower Columbia region in northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.
LCHRMA’s mission is to engage the human resource community by providing networking and relationship building opportunities, professional development, and other resources that enhance HR professionals’ contributions to the workplace and the local community.
Association meetings are currently held the first Wednesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Guests are welcome.
LCHRMA is proud to offer scholarships each year to college students with an interest in business and/or human resources. This year we awarded two scholarships!
Mackenzie Philbrick: “I will be attending Oregon State University in the Fall of 2023, where I’ll be pursuing a major in Business Administration along with a minor in Public Health. Through this academic path, my goal is to enhance my understanding in Business while also building career path that contributes positively to the well-being of those in my community.”
Espen White: “After high school I am attending Linn-Benton Community College where I will be studying economics. I will also be trying to walk onto the basketball team there. After my two years at Linn-Benton I plan on continuing my education at Oregon State University.”
