Courtney McFate, an associate with Lane Powell PC, will present on Oregon’s new paid leave benefits program, Paid Leave Oregon.  In this two-part series, Courtney will provide an overview of Paid Leave Oregon from a practical perspective with information you can use to implement this new program for your organization and its employees.  Her presentation will cover key program deadlines, coverage, eligibility, triggering events, how leave is funded, the duration and amount of benefits employees can expect, and notice requirements and other employer responsibilities. Courtney will also cover integration of Paid Leave Oregon with other types of leave, such as leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act, and employer-sponsored equivalent paid leave plans.  Troubleshooting and best practices will also be covered, and there will be plenty of time for your questions about this new program.
